Hi, I’m Dr David Cowhig, founder of Dental Wellness. We’re here today to talk about the Dental Wellness week, which is referring to the importance of you appreciating in general your dental health in relation to your whole body health and how your dental health will have an impact on your whole body health if you don’t take it into account. So instead of people saying they hate the dentist, you should really love your dentist because they’re in a position to be able to help you sleep well, breathe well and smile.

So the smiling is the last S of the Oral Fitness plan that we’ve been talking about. And smiling has a major impact on your whole well-being. You may not be happy with certain things, maybe in your front teeth when you smile. So you hide your smile and inhibit the feelings and emotions that come out when you have a smile.

Oral FITNESS Scorecard-2

And it’s often the patients who have had some cosmetic work with us, whether they’ve had veneers, very fine, almost wafer-thin porcelain covered over their teeth to optimize their smile. And all of a sudden, their eyes light up when they smile, and they feel really good. So smiling’s a really big, important part of Dental Wellness. So that’s where we use the advanced techniques of digital planning to ensure that we get the optimal smile you can have that suits you, with minimal damage to your teeth.

So that’s the key factor. We don’t try and cut back your teeth majorly. We want to do as minimally as possible, like an eighth of a millimetre potentially, any reduction, if there’s any, and we can give you the most perfect smile because the technician we use in Brisbane is probably one of the best in the world. So we’re very lucky to have that facility. So that’s where the smile comes into the Dental Wellness Oral Fitness plan.

And I encourage you to think about it and then get in contact with us, and we can help you.

Keep Smiling,
It’s good for You!
